Exhibition projects
Milan Drawing Week is a project curated by Collezione Ramo in collaboration with the city’s art galleries and institutional spaces. The purpose of the event is to promote the work on paper by Italian and international artists for the creation of a culture of drawing. Milan Drawing Week offers each selected contemporary artist the opportunity to choose an Italian drawing work of the 20th century on loan from the Collezione Ramo to display in their own solo exhibition. The result, always unexpected, is what makes this event on drawing absolutely unique.
The curating of the exhibition project develops over the course of a year, starting with an analysis of the contemporary art scene through a series of studio visits to emerging artists, portfolio analyses and site visits. Therefore, one cannot sign up for automatically guaranteed participation.
Any proposals for collaboration can be sent by institutions (museums or foundations) and art galleries, to this email address: info@milanodrawingweek.com
Proposals must be complete with appropriate documentation, including the portfolio of the artist to be proposed for an exhibition and his or her cv (demonstrating the importance of production on paper and specifying the technique and date of the works) along with a presentation of the exhibition space to be made available for the duration of the entire event.
The proposal will be evaluated for consistency with the project designed for the current edition.
Please be advised that it will not be possible to provide specific details regarding the reasons for the outcomes, whether positive or negative.
